Cataract Surgery
What is a cataract?
A cataract occurs when the natural lens within the eye
turns cloudy. This is a natural result of aging, but can
be hastened by trauma, sun exposure, and certain
medications. When daily activities, such as driving,
reading, or watching television become impaired,
then cataract surgery can restore useful vision.
Our doctors will be happy to determine if cataracts are
the cause of your visual complaints. We will be happy
to offer a second opinion if you have been told that you
need surgery (not every cataract needs removal!)

See it all!
New intraocular lens implant technology can restore
distance vision and reading vision! With these lens
implants, known as RESTOR®, Rezoom®, and
Crystalens®, most patients do not need glasses for
distance or reading after surgery! (glasses may be
required at some times).
A consultation with our doctors can tell you if one of
these lenses is right for you.
