Active Community Members
Our doctors believe that being active in the community is not just a slogan, but is a way of life.

Our doctors are available as guest speakers for your service club or community group. Dr. Shaw’s talk, Out of Focus, Eye Diseases of Famous Artists, is a favorite. Dr. Quiceno regularly performs Latin guitar and vocal music for charitable fund-raisers. Dr. Shaw shows his award-winning photography to clubs around the county. Our doctors routinely donate eye exams to raise money at charity auctions. We are members of the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce.

Flying Samaritans
Our practice supports the Flying Samaritans Eye Clinic in Tecate, Mexico. Dr. Shaw spends one Saturday per month volunteering his skills in Tecate.

You can do your part to help the Flying Samaritans. Your donation of used eyeglasses can restore sight to the less fortunate. Your glasses are measured and dispensed to someone with a similar prescription, who otherwise could not afford eyeglasses. Please bring your old eyeglasses to our office at your next eye exam!
